Dear Potential Sponsor:

Welcome to the 40th anniversary of Capital City Pride. It is amazing how much has changed since the first Pride event 40 years ago when the founders walked from the State Capitol to the Blazing Saddle in the East Village. We continue to embrace change and strive to produce events that inspire, educate, commemorate and celebrate our diverse community and culture with and for the greater Des Moines Metro.

Equal Rights has long been an Iowa tradition both legally and socially, and we celebrate Capital City Pride to affirm that tradition. We are proud of our 40th anniversary milestone and recognize we could not be where we are today without citizen support and our sponsors. However, we do not lose sight of the fact that there is still much to do and we need your help.

The former first lady, Michele Obama once stated, “When they go low, we go high”. These wise words inspire this year’s theme “Rise Up”. This is a particularly important and relevant theme as people around the world continue to face violence and inequality—and sometimes torture, even execution—because of who they love, how they look, or who they are. It is up to all of us to “Rise Up” and work towards a world where all people can enjoy their rights fully.

In 2018 we are working to expand our marketing and communications, community support, and festival events. We plan to progress our Pride agenda to promote activities that include all members of the LGBT community, welcome friends, allies, and supporters. We would love to partner with your organization as a sponsor, advertiser or vendor to help us achieve our goals. You are truly crucial to our success. This year, a combination of marketing channels such as social media, print, website / web links, and visual market-ing, will be utilized to increase the visibility of our partners. To increase reach and readership, beyond the Des Moines Metro our print marketing will also be distributed in Chicago, Peoria, St Louis, Kansas City, Omaha, and Min-neapolis/St. Paul. In addition, logo credit for our sponsors will continue to be posted on our social media, website and digital advertisements for the remainder of our production year. Overall, the marketing platform aims to in-crease the visibility of Capital City Pride events while providing a return on investment to our valued sponsors.

PrideFest Vendor Booths

All booths are setup as single 10' x 10' space. Electricity is available on a first-come-first-served basis. All booths will be provided one table, chairs are not provided. Tents are not provided unless a specific sponsorship package designates them. Spaces must be secured by April 20, 2018.

Pride Guide Advertising

Reach thousands of LGBT members and allies by advertising your business or service in the Pride Guide.

Print ads must be 300dpi or greater, and should be sent in JPG or PDF format. GIF format and low resolution ads will be rejected.

The “Pride Guide” will be in print and digital formats. Print copies will be availa-ble at the event, as well as distributed locally and around the Midwest. A digital format will be connected to Capital City Pride website and all Social Media accounts.
