She was born and raised in Jesup, Iowa. Jen went to Wartburg College and graduated with a degree in biology. She currently lives in Marengo and works in Cedar Rapids. Jen started mountain climbing in 2010 and since that time has climbed mountains all over the world, including Everest on May 19, 2016. She's the first woman from Iowa to climb it.
She's currently on track to become one of less than 25 women in the United States to complete the “7 Summits” (which is when you climb the highest mountain on every continent)….only one peak left to climb…Vinson in Antarctica. Jen has released a book called “Shots From The Heart”. It’s 238 pages of photographs and journal excerpts from her travels both near and far. The book and select prints are available on her website Iowaclimberjen.com. She's been featured in the Cedar Rapids Gazette, the Des Moines Register, KWWL, KCRG, and NPR. When she’s not climbing or working she also does a lot of volunteer work.

Jaci McCormack is an enrolled member of the Nez Perce Tribe. Jaci began her basketball career on the Nez Perce Reservation in Lapwai, ID and it was clear from an early age the tribe had a star among them.
To this day, Jaci is the only Nez Perce tribal member to play in the NCAA tournament. Jaci still plays in the
Indian Basketball circuit when her schedule allows and is regarded as one of the top five female native
basketball players of all-time.
As the Nez Perce Tribal Youth Prevention Director, Jaci rediscovered her passion of working with youth and began volunteering her time outside of the work setting at various basketball camps and other youth activities. She recognized all too well the challenges tribal youth face in making a transition off the reservation to post-secondary education, and wanted
to give back.
